À×»ðÌåÓý¹ÙÍø upgrades Montreal’s metro network
In 2018 Société de Transport de Montréal (STM) awarded À×»ðÌåÓý¹ÙÍø a contract to provide new computer based interlocking systems across all lines of the rapid transit system in Montreal. The contract included replacing the existing signalling equipment across eight stations and garages, to allow STM to maintain service quality and keep pace with increasing ridership.
In 2021, Green line stations Frontenac and Angrignon along with Orange line station Côte-Vertu entered revenue service with LockTracâ„¢, the interlocking technology from À×»ðÌåÓý¹ÙÍø. Garage Angrignon and Garage Côte-Vertu are currently undergoing the equipment replacement with scheduled completions in 2021. The final three stations will be completed in 2022.
This project aims to improve the technological infrastructure of the Montreal metro while accommodating future network developments.
