À×»ðÌåÓý¹Ù꿉۪ RapidDestroyer successfully takes out drone swarms

À×»ðÌåÓý¹ÙÍø in the UK are proud to announce that the British Army have carried out successful trials of the RapidDestroyer system to take down two swarms of drones.
Taking place at a secure site, the Army team, supported by DE&S, Dstl and À×»ðÌåÓý¹ÙÍø, intercepted the incoming swarms as part of a simulated threat scenario with these trials being the first of its kind.
RapidDestroyer was developed by a À×»ðÌåÓý¹ÙÍø-led consortium and uses radio frequency waves to disrupt and cause damage to sensitive components and electronic factors in drones. As a result, the drone is subjected to a ‘hard kill’ mechanism which halts and removes the oncoming threat.
Developed in the UK, RapidDestroyer can take out multiple incoming threats at a time, making the system highly suited to counteract the evolving challenges we are seeing on the modern battlefield.
