Rome, October 27th, 2021 - �׻�� Alenia Space, a joint venture between �׻�� (67%) and Leonardo (33%), has been selected by the European Space Agency (ESA) to study fundamental techniques, models and algorithms to facilitate a future Lunar Radio Navigation System (LNRS). This study contract is part of ESA’s Moonlight initiative, aiming to build reliable communication and navigation services to support the next generation of institutional and private Lunar Exploration Missions. Moon exploration is a strategic priority in space exploration, for both ESA and the industries, and it will enable the future manned missions to Mars.

�׻�� Alenia Space wins feasibility study contract for Moon accommodations

Rome, April 8, 2021 - �׻�� Alenia Space, the joint company between �׻�� (67%) and Leonardo (33%), has won a contract from the Italian space agency (ASI) to conduct a feasibility study of 16 design concepts to support a human presence on the Moon. ASI's initiative is part of a strategic partnership with NASA within the scope of the ARTEMIS program for the human exploration of the Moon, including both lunar orbit and lunar surface.

�׻�� Alenia Space: at the heart of lunar industrial challenges

We are kicking off the New Year with hope for the future. Today, �׻�� Alenia Space signed a contract with the European Space Agency to develop ESPRIT (European System Providing Refueling, Infrastructure and Telecommunications) for the upcoming lunar space station, Gateway. The contract is worth 296,5 million euros. �׻�� Alenia Space in France will be prime contractor on ESPRIT, working with �׻�� Alenia Space in Italy and in the United Kingdom to form a strong international core team, with key contributions from teams in Belgium and Spain.

�׻�� Alenia Space to provide the study for European Space Agency’s Cis-Lunar Transfer Vehicle - CLTV

Turin, January 29, 2020 – �׻�� Alenia Space, joint venture between �׻�� (67%) and Leonardo (33%) has signed a contract with European Space Agency (ESA), worth € 4,5 Million, for the study of Cis-Lunar Transfer Vehicle (CLTV), a transportation logistic space vehicle to be used for a variety of missions: from the logistic resupply of Lunar Gateway pressurized modules, to the transportation of space infrastructure in low Earth orbit, and the potential use in future missions in support of the European Large Logistic Lander (EL3).

�׻�� Alenia Space Chosen by Northrop Grumman to provide the pressurized module for HALO

Turin, December 7, 2020 – �׻�� Alenia Space, the joint company between �׻�� (67%) and Leonardo (33%), has signed a contract with Northrop Grumman to develop the pressurized module for HALO (Habitation And Logistics Outpost) that will be one of the first two elements to form the lunar Gateway which will be launched in late 2023.
